| It's been a pretty fun year in wedding photography. There's one more wedding booked for December, so it's not over yet, but I wanted to share a few things about this year so far. This was a Tacoma wedding where we had some fun both at a central park and a graffitti'ed wall downtown.
Another Tacoma wedding (ever heard "We're big in Japan?" Well, we're a loud whisper in Tacoma, man).
(That last pics looks a little gothic, huh?) We got to do our first "destination" wedding, all the way over to Cannon Beach. The wedding was really just a great big party on the beach where one of the girls just happened to be wearing a wedding dress. Needless to say, it was a helluva a good time.
We went from the beach to the valley for the next wedding. Snohomish Valley, that is. It was held at Hidden Meadows on one of prettiest summer days ever. It was one of those weddings where you just hold up your camera and press the shutter and tada, magical wedding photo created, no skill required. Luckily enough, this wedding was featured at Seattle Style online, and if we're even luckier, will be in Seattle Bride magazine's next issue. Just because they tell you those things, sometimes it never happens. But it was a very pretty wedding, man. Good times.

I put that shot of the dog licking up the smeared cake on the floor for you, Luckybaby. That pooch even got to walk down the aisle with the groom, where all of the grooms wedding party were wearing belt buckles that spelled out the bride's name. They were a very fun group. Sometimes people like to poo-poo all of the organizing and planning that goes into a wedding, but it's pretty awesome to see one come together with lots of fun ideas incorporated. I see it as a person's way of showing another "Hey, I took the time to think of something, planned it out, made it work, and I did that for you" and that's what romance means to me. Weddings are a lot of work, but they're pretty fun when people have worked hard to make it a fun day. Weddings can be fun where little planning went into it as well, but believe me, they're a hella lot more stressed for people who have to do stuff at them. But even those are still really, really fun. Because no matter how it's served, there's always cake involved. Who can say anything bad about that? |
